what are Kidneys
The Kidneys are two bean shaped organs on either side of your spine, behind your belly and below your ribs. The size of each kidney is about 4 to 5 inches long , roughly the size of your large fist.
Kidneys receive blood from the paired renal arteries, blood exits into the paired renal veins. Each kidney is attached to a ureter, a tube that carries excreted urine to the bladder. The job of kidney is to filter your blood.
Kidneys remove wastes, control the body's fluid balance, and keep the right levels of electrolytes. All of the blood in your body passes through them several times a day.
